MACHINE HEAD: 'Seasons Wither' Live MP3 Available For Download
October 22, 2005A full-length MP3 of the song "Seasons Wither", taken from MACHINE HEAD's recently released "Elegies" DVD, has been made available for download at this location.
In its first week of release, MACHINE HEAD's "Elegies" DVD bullied its way into the U.S. Top 20 as well as the Top 10 in major international markets around the world. Sandwiched between major commercial acts SHERYL CROW, ROB ZOMBIE and AC/DC, "Elegies" landed at No. 13 in the U.S. with first-week sales eclipsing notable live debuts from artists such as NICKELBACK and LAMB OF GOD. In the U.K., "Elegies" seized the No. 6 spot (right under pop-rock stalwarts U2),becoming the highest-charting Roadrunner DVD since SLIPKNOT's "Disasterpieces" in the U.K. Elsewhere around the world, "Elegies" charged out of the gates to debut at No. 4 in Germany and No. 6 in France.
"Elegies" focuses around (and contains the entirety of) MACHINE HEAD's performance at London's Brixton Academy, filmed on December 5, 2004. In addition, the disc features three behind-the-scenes vignettes, focusing on the making of the band's newest record, "Through the Ashes of Empires", life on the road with MACHINE HEAD, and an up-close and personal look at the greatest horde of lunatics in the world — MACHINE HEAD fans. Viewers have the choice of watching the vignettes interstitially (injected into the concert footage) or on their own. On top of that, three music videos — "Imperium", "Days Turn Blue to Gray" (both uncensored and uncut) and "The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears" — are also included, each accompanied by its own behind-the-scenes "Making of" documentary. All of the aforementioned behind-the-scenes and documentary material has been recompiled and re-edited from over 300 hours of footage amassed by the band since writing for "Through the Ashes of Empires" began in 2003, providing a never-before-seen glimpse into the world of heavy metal's most ferocious empire.
As previously reported, MACHINE HEAD's classic 1994 debut, "Burn My Eyes", will get the "25th anniversary reissue" treatment as a CD/DVD combo through Roadrunner Records on February 7, 2006. Although nothing has yet been confirmed, it is believed that the bonus features on the DVD will include footage of the band's "Burn My Eyes" 10th anniversary show, shot in Philadelphia on August 8, 2004.
